PRESS RELEASE: Education for peace and interculturality, signed memorandum of understanding between the John Paul II Foundation, the Tuscany Regional Office (General Directorate) and the Giorgio La Pira Foundation

Florence 12/10/2021: A partnership that will make it possible to promote, implement and support the implementation of training pathways aimed at peace education, 'interculturality, interreligious dialogue and to foster "pathways for transversal skills and orientation."

Signing the agreement were Andrea Bottinelli President of the John Paul II Foundation, Mario Primicerio President of the Giorgio La Pira Foundation and Ernesto Pellecchia Director General of the Regional School Office.

For future projects present for the John Paul II Foundation Carlo Basani, Carla Gonfiotti and for the La Pira Foundation Michele Domandi.

A very important protocol for the Foundation, which will be responsible for, among others:

- Promote cooperation and development projects and initiatives in schools in Italy and foreign countries;

- Join projects and co-manage initiatives including with Italian and foreign third parties on peace education for female and male secondary school students;

- To carry out cooperative work and study projects, between Italian classes and foreign classes, in the territories best known to the Foundation, especially using new communication technologies also to disseminate their knowledge and results;

- Promote joint training and information actions for technical and administrative staff, school leaders and teachers by providing them with support in carrying out the inherent teaching activity
