The purpose of the project:

The project contributes to a more efficient municipal solid waste management system in the West Bank through separate collection (source-separated collection system) and urban circular economy actions.

Activities

Through technical missions, a proposed technical study was drafted for the configuration of the collection, transportation and processing system for some specific materials. A preparatory work and selection of enterprises in the Bethlehem area led to the disbursement of the first part of a start-up fund provided for their development. These activities were accompanied by outreach and training in Bethlehem schools on topics related to recycling, waste management and the circular economy.
