Bothoor - Jordan

Context:

The "Bothoor" project is being developed in Jordan, where the Syrian crisis and the consequences of the pandemic have exacerbated the economic vulnerability of the Syrian refugee population and local communities. In the target governorates, which are characterized by limited employment opportunities and high unemployment rates, the project aims to foster economic inclusion, entrepreneurial growth and improved living conditions, with a special focus on women, youth and people with disabilities.

The purpose of the project:

The initiative aims to strengthen the economic and entrepreneurial capacities of vulnerable Syrian and Jordanian refugees by creating decent and sustainable employment opportunities. Through supporting micro-enterprises, providing vocational training and promoting income-generating activities, the project aims to mitigate the effects of the economic crisis by fostering inclusive and sustainable growth.

Activities:

- Implementation of technical and vocational training paths for young people, women and people with disabilities.
- Supporting the creation and strengthening of microenterprises and self-employed economic activities.
- Capacity building in Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) to provide inclusive economic support services.
- Promotion of networking and marketing opportunities, including support for participation in bazaars and fairs.
- Introduction of innovative strategies, such as online marketing and access to microcredit, to facilitate economic inclusion.
