JOHN PAUL II FOUNDATION IN RONDINE CITIZEN OF PEACE
"Like President Mattarella, our commitment to educate to save society.
Seeds of hope planted in Rondine."

There was also the John Paul II Foundation at Rondine Cittadella della Pace (AR) to welcome President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella.

We were struck by his words of peace, and we find the quote from Maria Montessori very much centered at this difficult moment in history.
"She said in her time and it should be repeated," the Head of State stressed, "avoiding wars is the task of politics, building peace is the task of education. This is the great task."

This is the spirit that also guides the John Paul II Foundation, committed in the Middle East and other complex areas to give hope, to educate, to build a present and a future both for children - the first victims of war, malnutrition, and denied rights - and for adults.
In the Middle East, in Africa or Latin America, but also in the West, denying the possibility of studying, getting proper care and growing up in a peaceful way is a crime against humanity. Education is an instrument of peace.

We engage in this in supporting education in Jordan, Lebanon, the Holy Land and other places, including Italy in our host projects. "Educate to save society," is one of our mottos.

Thank you, President Mattarella, for emphasizing this in front of students and teachers and all of us: the future of peace also comes from education.

Thanks to Rondine Cittadella della Pace for having us in their home at the opening of the YouTopic Fest, confident that this occasion will be the cue to embark on a new path of collaboration based on common values. Rondine founder and president Franco Vaccari, citing La Pira and the responsibility of young people who "like swallows fly toward spring," entrusted those present and the Citadel with the commitment to be seeds of hope. Let us also accept this spur in the primary goal of the hope of Peace.
