Mediterranean Youth-Italy

From Florence, a natural place of encounter and dialogue, comes the Italian Church's proposal of the establishment of a Mediterranean Youth Council-35young people from 18 different countries-in the perspective of a possible coexistence among peoples based on fraternity.

The project has as its protagonists the young people, who represent the future of the Mediterranean ecclesial communities, involving them directly in an active and responsible way.
It is a concrete sign that the Catholic Church of the Mediterranean, in its various articulations, proposes by looking at the future through the eyes and minds of those who will be the women and men of tomorrow and who will then go on to constitute the various Mediterranean societies and ecclesial communities.

The purpose of the project:

The creation of fraternal relations by building "bridges" of dialogue, unity and peace among different peoples and cultures. This, through caring for the spiritual dimension, love for the Church and strengthening pastoral action in the face of today's challenges.
