John Paul II Foundation / Fighting Poverty. / Hogar niño Bethlehem-Palestine

Hogar niño Bethlehem-Palestine

Description and objectives of the project: among its activities in Palestine, the Foundation has been supporting the Hogar Nino de Dios home for years. The facility was established at the beginning of the second Intifada by the Religious Family of the Incarnate Word, after touching upon the urgent need for a home to take in sick, disabled, abandoned and poor children.

The need for such a facility is driven by poor economic conditions and the local culture, which considers it a disgrace for the family to
the birth of children with disabilities or physical or psychological problems.
The Foundation has for years supported, through the generosity of private citizens, the activities of taking in disabled children. As the years went by, the children grew up and the need was found to extend support to extremely vulnerable people. For this reason, construction work was started on the Our Lady of Perpetual Help house for the reception and care of male beneficiaries, boys and adults.
